Like most in our community SMG are extremely saddened by the catastrophic fire events this summer.
The scale and intensity of these events has been so large it has at times created a feeling of helplessness, not only for the victims and survivors but those wanting to assist in some meaningful way.
The initial need for those directly affected is to feel safe in relation to shelter, food and clothing. Over time many may need to access services providing a range of psychological supports.
This may be required for a lengthy period for some and we will be actively involved in providing these professional services to our many clients who may have been impacted either directly or indirectly.
In the spirit of meaningful psychological support and contributing to the exceptional generosity shown, by individuals and organisations both in Australia and globally, SMG will be offering a series of workshops (Responding to Traumatic Events) throughout February of which all proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross for the Bush Fires Appeal. If you would like more information, please contact your Account Manager directly, or SMG Health on 1300 657 644.
